Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 September 2026. These terms govern the use of the Master Security platform.
1. Who we are and what this agreement covers
Master Security is a cloud-based command platform for security companies, operated by
The Weram Group International ("Weram", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service form a binding
agreement between Weram and the company that subscribes to the service (the "Subscriber",
"you"). By creating an account, paying for a subscription or using the platform, you accept
these terms on behalf of your company.
Master Security is part of the Master Suite of products by Weram.
2. The service
Master Security provides software for managing security operations, including staff and
PSiRA credential records, rosters and attendance, patrols, an electronic occurrence book,
incident management, inspections and client reporting. The service is provided as software
as a service (SaaS): we host and operate the platform and you access it over the internet.
We may improve, extend or adjust features over time. Where a change materially reduces the
service you pay for, we will give you reasonable notice.
3. Accounts and access
- You must give accurate company and contact information when signing up and keep it current.
- Each user account is for one named person. Sharing login details is not allowed.
- You are responsible for the actions taken under your users' accounts and for managing
which of your staff, managers and customers have access.
- You must keep passwords confidential and tell us promptly at
support@mastersecurity.co.za if you
suspect unauthorised access.
4. Subscriptions, fees and payment
- The service is sold as a subscription on the plan you select, billed monthly or annually
in advance.
- All advertised prices exclude Value Added Tax. VAT at the prevailing South African rate
(currently 15%) is added at checkout and on every invoice.
- Payments are processed securely by PayFast. We never see or store your card details.
- Subscription fees are payable in South African Rand.
- We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Changes take effect at your
next billing cycle.
- Subscription prices are reviewed once a year and may increase by up to 10% on each
anniversary of your subscription. We will tell you the new amount in writing at least
30 days before it applies, and it takes effect on your first billing cycle after that
date. If you would rather not continue at the new price, you may cancel under section 10
before it takes effect.
5. Non-payment and suspension
If a subscription payment fails or is not received by the due date, we will remind you and
allow a short grace period. If payment remains outstanding, we may place the account in a
restricted or read-only state and thereafter suspend access until payment is received.
Suspension does not delete your data. If an account remains unpaid for an extended period we
may terminate it after notice. Termination ends access; it does not delete your data, which is
kept as described in section 6 and in the Privacy Policy.
6. Your data and ownership
- The operational data your company records on the platform (staff records, rosters,
occurrence book entries, incidents, patrol records, sites, customers and related files)
belongs to your company. You are the owner and, in terms of POPIA, the responsible party
for that information.
- Weram operates the platform and processes that data on your instructions as an operator.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for purposes outside providing and
supporting the service.
- You can export or request a copy of your operational data while you subscribe, and you can
request a copy after your subscription ends. Your data is not deleted because your
subscription is cancelled, lapses or is terminated: it is kept, and it is still there if
you come back.
- You remain the responsible party for that data after your subscription ends. You can
instruct us in writing to delete it, and we will do so, except for anything a law requires
to be kept.
- We may use aggregated, de-identified usage statistics to improve the service. These
statistics can never identify your company, staff or customers.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of PSiRA or other applicable regulations;
- upload content that is unlawful, defamatory or that infringes the rights of others;
- attempt to gain access to data belonging to another subscriber, or probe, scan or test
the security of the platform without our written permission;
- resell, sublicense or make the service available to third parties other than your own
users and customer representatives;
- interfere with the operation of the platform, including introducing malware or placing
unreasonable load on it.
We may suspend accounts that put the platform or other subscribers at risk, and will notify
you when we do.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep the platform available around the clock, but we do not guarantee
uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside busy hours where possible.
Support is available during South African business hours, from Support inside the app, from
the Get Support page, or by email at
support@mastersecurity.co.za. A query raised
through Support or the Get Support page gets a ticket number, and we reply by email.
Premier and Elite include priority support. A ticket raised by someone signed in to a Premier
or Elite account, while that account's access is running, is marked as priority and placed at
the top of our support queue, ahead of tickets that are not priority, while it waits for an
answer. Priority sets the order in which we answer; it is not a guaranteed response time. A
query sent by email, or from the Get Support page without signing in, cannot be linked to a
plan, so it is not marked as priority.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- the platform is a record-keeping and management tool. It does not replace your company's
operational judgement, and Weram is not responsible for security outcomes, losses or
incidents at the premises you guard;
- Weram is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, loss of profits,
loss of business or loss of data caused by events beyond our reasonable control;
- Weram's total liability arising from or related to the service in any 12 month period is
limited to the subscription fees you paid for that period.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
10. Termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of
the paid period, and fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law.
- We may terminate this agreement on notice for material breach that is not remedied
within a reasonable time, or for extended non-payment as set out in section 5.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will give notice of material changes by email
or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after
the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African
courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
